I am also a musician. I have played the clarinet (that's the long black one that squeaks a lot) for 7 years now and took my grade 8 (out of 8 altogether) at the end of 2007. I was skilful (or lucky) enough to pass with distinction. I have only just started learning the bassoon as well (also known as the 'farting bedpost') which is even longer and fatter and is brown with silver keys. It honks like a frog. I took my grade 5 theory exam in mid-2006 and passed that with flying colours as well. By the way, 'theory' is all the writing it down and the fancy words and all that. Nobody likes it, including me.
At the present time I am a part of 3 ensembles: a band, a woodwind ensemble and an orchestra. I really get a huge buzz when we do concerts, especially big ones, because it's just so wonderful for the piece of music that you have been practising for months finally to be performed, and it sounds perfect. I really really really get a gigantic kick out of that.
On top of all that, I like to compose music too. Unfortunately, for various reasons I had to remove the recordings that I had up on this page but I doubt that you'll miss them. If you would like to hear some of my music, just say so in the guestbook on the home page.
